[et_pb_column type=”4_4″][et_pb_text admin_label=”Text”]Tshego is one artist that has stepped into the South African Hip Hop scene and made a statement with his music. From the moment we all heard the  “Hennessy” single with Cassper Nyovest, it was clear that the game had found a gem and this young musician was not to be underestimated or considered “up and coming” for too long.

Tshego has made an impact on radio and on dance floors across South Africa and has proven to be original and consistent dropping 3 singles that have all received great commercial success and international recognition. Tshego is the future of South African Hip Hop!

There is so much to admire and appreciate about a young musician stepping into the scene and doing well for himself. It shows that true talent is always welcomed by South Africans. Tshego not only writes the lyrics to his music but also produces the beats. This shows a great deal of understanding of the music making process and it comes across in his sound. You can hear his voice is mastered just the way he wants it to be, you can hear that he is involved in all of the production process and its beautiful.

I believe people have also taken a liking to Tshego not only because of his talents but also his “Swag”. Forever dressed in pink clothes while covered in cool tattoos, he has a different look to the average rapper, he has the look of a superstar! This makes him easy to sell here or internationally thus festivals like MIDEM in France and SXSW in Austin Texas have invited him to showcase his music.

Tshego has also kept the listeners in a great deal of suspense, his style of dropping singles over dropping a full on project has resulted in the fans wanting and waiting for more. This can be a good or bad thing considering a full album would give him more chance to express himself and tell his story, some would argue though that an album could be too much and people would no longer have the “I wonder” feeling about him.

I would definitely love to see and hear more from this young artist. I think with the right backing anything is possible for him, excited to hear an album or mixtape with him and Nasty C. I believe they are both on the same level of possibility and are set to be our greatest Hip Hop export!
